A sleeping beauty aint a cutie without her favorite stash of essentials in tow. For me – and my lion mane – that means lots of rich oils and natural creams. As you guys may or may not yet know, I am obsessed with Whole Foods and tend to stalk their aisles of beauty care religiously. I’m all about taking the most natural way out of the beauty hype, and super down for solutions that will help not only in the short term, but also the long term. With that said, I’m binging on John Master’s Hair Care products majorly. Sadly I’ve just run out of their argan oil and mindlessly tossed the glass container (I usually stock them and reuse because I’m a hoarder like that), so it’s not pictured here tonight. However, I must say that it is probably their most versatile product of the line – great for skin, hair, and all that jazz. This is usually also my go-to for make-up removal. The others pictured are the dry hair nourishment & de-frizzer and bourbon vanilla & tangerine hair texturizer (hot tip: use them together if you want a bit of hold + shine) both by JM, which seem to be largely exclusive to the US so it’s 14 more days until I’m back in New York for a restock… Rahua is a new line that I’ve recently gotten kind of into, and this leave-in treatment is fantastic for those days you want to blow out. For an air-dry, I stick to my back-up stash of argan oil by Acure, which is running dangerously low. Rilakkuma, on the other hand, is dangerously cute. It’s a piece that I picked up last month while visiting home in LA and one that always has a place not only in my heart, but also in my purse.
As for the lazy-day lounge-wear, I’ve slipped on my most comfortable pair of lace shorts by La Perla and silk button-down by rag & bone. Light, lacey and comfortable was the name of the game today, and this outfit was it.
